Designing for big businesses
Scope:
This B2B-facing website was created to attract high-profile clients – such as Cisco, PWC, and Harley-Davidson – interested in tailored vocational training solutions. The goal was to position TAFE as a trusted strategic partner capable of delivering workforce-ready talent for large organisations.
Action:
I was initially hired as the web producer for a site already designed by a creative agency. However, I challenged the relevance of the existing design for the executive-level audience and proposed a complete redesign. My new approach centred on a single, powerful element: a striking image of a CEO from a major organisation already working with TAFE. This strategic design choice was intended to build trust and signal credibility to other CEOs, reinforcing that investing in customised TAFE training yields highly skilled, job-ready employees. I adapted the TAFE brand to create a premium digital presence that was both persuasive and distinctive – something unprecedented in the education sector at the time.
Results:
The redesigned site elevated TAFE’s positioning in the B2B space, presenting the organisation as a forward-thinking partner for enterprise-scale workforce development. The refined design approach helped shift perception of TAFE from a traditional educator to a credible, modern solution provider for large-scale business needs.
